Common questions
Is this invoice valid for GST?
It has the details a tax invoice needs under GST rules: your name, address and GSTIN, a unique invoice number and date, the customer’s details (and GSTIN for a business customer), the place of supply, a description with HSN or SAC code, quantity, taxable value, the GST rate and the CGST, SGST or IGST amounts, and a signature. Businesses with turnover above the e-invoicing limit (₹5 crore) must also generate an IRN on the government e-invoice portal.
When does it charge CGST and SGST, and when IGST?
It compares your state with the customer’s state (the place of supply). The same state means CGST plus SGST, each at half the rate. Different states mean IGST at the full rate. Typing a GSTIN fills in the state from its first two digits.
What if I am not registered for GST?
Leave your GSTIN empty and set the items to 0%. The document is then titled "Invoice" instead of "Tax Invoice". Unregistered sellers must not charge GST.
Where is my data stored?
Nowhere but your own browser. Your business name, address, GSTIN and logo are remembered on this device so the next invoice starts filled in; customer details and items are not kept. Nothing is uploaded.
How do I get a PDF on my phone?
