Common questions
How do I run several apps on different ports?
Add one route per app. For example, send / to 127.0.0.1:3000 and /api/ to 127.0.0.1:4000.
How do I load balance across several instances?
Put more than one address in a route, separated by commas. The generator creates an upstream block that Nginx balances round-robin.
Which SSL type should I choose?
Use Let's Encrypt for a server that serves HTTPS itself. Use AWS ACM when an ALB or CloudFront terminates HTTPS in front of Nginx. Use a Cloudflare Origin Certificate when Cloudflare proxies your traffic.
