Common questions
Is this PDF editor really free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no page limit and no watermark on the downloaded file.
Can I change or delete the text that is already in the PDF?
Yes. Choose Edit text and click a line: type to change it, or erase it all to delete it. The new words are set in the closest standard font (sans, serif or monospace, bold or italic) at the same size and colour. On scanned PDFs, which are pictures with no real text, use White-out and Add text instead.
Is deleted text really removed from the file?
Yes, in most PDFs: the old words are taken out of the page itself, so they can't be copied, searched or read by other software. When a line can't be removed safely, for example a word in the middle of a longer string, or an unusual font, it is covered instead, and the message after you download says how many edits were only covered. Scanned pages are pictures, so White-out there only covers.
How do I sign a PDF?
Choose Draw / sign and write your signature with a mouse, a trackpad or your finger on a phone, then download the PDF. Use a dark colour so it prints clearly.
Can I fill in a PDF form?
Yes. Choose Add text, click on each field and type. This works on any PDF, including scanned forms that have no fillable fields.
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. The file is opened and saved in your browser, so contracts, ID documents and bank forms never leave your device.
