chmod 750 (rwxr-x---)
The owner has full access, the group can read and run, and others have no access. Good for directories shared with one group.

Commands
Set the mode
chmod 750 my-dir # same thing in symbolic form: chmod u=rwx,g=rx,o= my-dir
In ls -l output, a file with this mode shows as -rwxr-x--- and a directory as drwxr-x---.
